What could be better than a quick knit that you cast on one morning, work on sporadically throughout the day, and weave the last end in on the following morning? I'll tell you what's better, one that accomplishes all of that PLUS plays nicely with those lonely skeins of variegated yarn that you have around the house. Thank you Laura Nelkin for your versatile and lovely Prolix Mitts pattern. They were an absolute joy to knit. (Laura actually knows that I feel this way about these mitts because she was seated on the couch with me for a while as I worked on them and effused about my admiration.)
Pattern: Prolix Mitts from Knockout Knits
Designer: Laura Nelkin
Needles: US 6 & 8 circulars, magic looped
Yarn: Quince & Co Lark in Frost that I over-dyed at Fiber College
Size Made: Medium
Started: September 18

You know, I haven't bought any books for a long time since it is simpler and faster to buy single patterns on Ravelry. I've seen a few mentions of this book and it has been in the back of my mind to check it out more closely, but then this blog post convinced me to speed over to Amazon and order it right away. Love these mitts! Can't wait to start on them and check out other stuff from the book as well (I signed up for Loopy U, and this book is probably going to provide the patterns that I knit up).
So thanks to both you and Laura for that final nooodge!

Can't wait to get this book! Have it on order with my LYS. I've been eyeing the patterns on Ravelry and love so many of them. I don't buy too many knitting books but this one was a MUST. Your mitts are so pretty Kirsten - makes me even more sure that it's a must!
