Thank you for all of your sweet comments on my last post. They really mean a lot.
Today I have several items to tell you about. The first order of business is the winner of the Dishcloth Diva contest. I used a random number generator, and Joann was chosen. Congratulations Joann! Thank you to everyone who entered the contest.
I'm very, very excited to be involved in this (more information here). I'll write more on the Shepherd and the Shearer another day, but do follow the links and then go read what Kate Davies has to say about the project.
I'll be teaching my Kanagawa Mittens pattern at Looped Yarn Works on Saturday, February 23rd. This pattern works great in as many as 11 colors or as few as 2. If you love the look of colorwork patterns but have always been afraid to try, or if you've tried colorwork in the past and struggled with things like tension and what to do with those long floats in the back, this is the class for you. If you're in the DC area I'd love to see you.
A final note about my kids band, The NowhereNauts, check them out here and here. Their second album is coming out in January and I am very excited. I know I'm a proud momma and all, but I think they just keep getting better and better.
They could use your help, their Facebook page has close to 5000 fans and they are eager to pass that milestone. If you like what you hear - you can listen on Jango, (the first song on the list, "Warned You", is from the new album), please hit the like button on Facebook.
So sorry about your Mom. The photos show a lovely, bright, gentle person. I particularly love the vintage photos of her, especially the knitting one, she lives on through your knitting. I wish I could give you a hug.
