Smudge Kapur 2000-2009
Our sweet Smudge left us on Tuesday. On Monday evening we noticed that his breathing was very labored. At the vet on Tuesday an x-ray showed a tumor that filled almost his entire chest cavity. It is amazing that he seemed as healthy as he did up until his last day. He even enjoyed lettuce and parsley from the garden on Tuesday morning.
Smudge was an impulse purchase from a pet store. My kids were in kindergarten and second grade at the time and I had decided that they were ready for a pet. I had gone to the store that day while the kids were in school, planning to check out the guinea pigs. When I arrived there was Smudge in all his tiny sweetness and I was caught, there was no way I could leave without him. I really never expected him to become such a part of the family. Rabbits have a lot of personality and he endeared himself to us very quickly. Anders (DS) particularly loved his bunny. He could not pass his cage with out stopping to say hello or taking him out and carrying the little ball of fluff around the house.
We'll all miss our bunny very much.

I am very sorry to hear about your bunny. He was quite a cutie!
(my cats name is Smudge)

Rabbits are great pets! It will be sad without him to cuddle. We had the same thing happen two summers ago. We now have a fuzzy white Bichon Frise. She's almost as easy.

I'm so sorry to hear about Smudge - he is probably one of the cutest bunnies I've ever seen, and it's always sad to have someone with an equally lovely personality leave you.
He was a lucky bunny, to live in such a loving and interesting world.

I'm sorry to hear about your bunny. We lost a guinea pig a month or so back and we were all surprised at how upset we got. Amazing how they become part of the family.

So sorry to hear about your sweet bunny. What beautiful markings he had.
I had a cat called Smudge also. And right now I have an older kitty that also has a lung tumor. It's slow growing and so far she is still doing okay.

It's always so very sad when you loose a pet. You get so attached to them - it's amazing.
When our bird "Pipper" died earlier this year we got two cats in the family. We always wanted a cat, but with birds in the house that wasn't quite possible ;o)
We all love the cats - and couldn't imagine them not being here, so I understand your loss and the sadness it brings.
Best wishes from FP
