Thank you all for your overwhelming response to Ulmus. If anyone is interested there is a knitalong for the pattern in the Through the Loops group on Raverly.
I finished my latest shawl design yesterday. It is knit using Schaefer Anne that Laura so kindly sent me to design with. The colorway is bluebell. The shawl took one skein of Anne. I love this yarn for lace. The yardage is generous enough to get a good sized shawl, the colors are amazing as we've come to expect from Schaefer, and it blocks really, really well.
I'm sending the pattern to test knitters today, so hopefully it will be ready soon. You'll find more details on the project page on Ravelry.
I'm off to MDS&W tomorrow. If you're going and you see me, say "hi".
For now, I'm off to play golf in the rain.
Wow, that's beautiful! I'd knit it, and I'm not a shawl knitter...

It's beautiful! I have one skein of Anne in my stash, but I was thinking of using it for Ulmus. Now, maybe I think I should wait for this pattern. Decisions, decisions!
Yup, it's a crappy rainy day. Melody is not going to be too happy about having to stay in. We go to the park everyday to expend her extra energy.

beautiful shawl! i love the way the large diamonds on the border anchor the busier center lace pattern. i will definitely queue this up right away when it comes out!

I think it's a little mean to put a picture of the Jeanne shawl in your Ravelry ad when I can't buy it ;-) Every time I see the ad, I click on it, thinking "Ooh - I can buy it!" It is a really beautiful shawl, and the color is outstanding.

Very pretty! I have a skein of Anne in blue-violet I came across the other day, and I wondered what in the world I could knit with it, as I don't like socks with any mohair content. Now I know.
