DD #1 is an amazing cook.  She has worked wonders with wok and tofu a number of nights this week - to the delight of the rest of us.  Next on her chopping block is this impressive squash.  I for one am looking forward to some tasty pumpkin bread.

The mitts have been laying around for a few days awaiting their moment in the spotlight.   I knit them with yarn spun from BFL roving that I hand painted over a year ago.  I really wasn't sure about the yarn until I made the mitts.  Now I love it - and them.

ETA - Gah!  What's with iGoogle and Flickr, looking all different?  That just happened while I was putting up this post!

These gloves are lovely and so it that fabulous pumpkin. The color of the pumpkin would make a great sweater.

gloves are fantastic--the yarn color is just gorgeous!! pretty pumpkin and as far as flickr goes, not really loving it. Too much going on at once for me.

Those are some darn cute mitts, perfect for fall! Plus BFL is always so nice and soft. Mmm.. pumpkin bread. I just made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, and they were delicious.

is there anything your children CAN'T DO?!?! man they are talented! i didn't know pumpkins came in green....

Your children are indeed a blessing!

I love the mitts. They are gorgeous!

First..those are some dang beautiful mitts!

Second..that is one seriously badass pumpkin! I'm moving to NJ!!

Oooo, that'll be tasty (and it's a lovely prop). Great mitts!
P.S. I've nominated you for a blog award :)

Pumpkin bread? Now that sounds interesting. Cute mitts.

The mitts are great, the yarn fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing.

The squash is a wonderful prop for photographing the mitts!

i love the colors in these photos. even the orange trim in the boots looks great with those mitts. and if i could dye the color of that pumpkin i would.

Cute mittens!

Gorgeous mitts.

Oh no, Flickr too? The iGoogle change is driving me nuts!

Oh, and wonderful mitts! My husband lost one of his last night so I'm on a pattern hunt today trying to decide on the next pair. I like the choice of simple mitt with your pretty handspun, very nice.

I love the mitts -- what pattern did you use?

I sort of like the igoogle change, the more I click around. Not sure about flickr yet.

On the other hand....just love the mitts!

The color of the pumpkin is amazing! Who knew pumpkins came in a silver sage color (at least that's what shows up on my monitor)

I love the mitts. What pattern did you use?
