A New Obsession

Zeebee is a magnificent pattern for handspun.  Schmeebot gives instructions for any gauge.  This is very helpful since my spinning is still less than a reliable weight.  The unconventional direction of the knitting works beautifully if your yarn wants to stripe.  Then there is the fact that garter stitch is just so delicious in handspun yarn.  (Or is that, handspun is just so delicious in garter stitch?)  I have a new obsession.  There will be many more Zeebees.  Thank you Christy for showing us the pattern.  Ever since seeing Christy's hat, I knew I had to make one.

DD#1 is very pleased.

Um, excuse me DD#1.  Wake up and show us how much you love your new hat.

Zeebee is a winner, and I love DD#2's detachment from the whole process, I know that mode very well!:)

Wow..beautiful! You make me want to actually learn how to use that spindle I have ;)
The plied colors really are amazing in that hat.
(& you are more than welcome)

Gorgeous!Love those colors.Love your photo shoots as well.Always entertaining.

The yarn looks so great with that pattern! I've got a baby shower at the end of the month, for me it's just an excuse to make another Zeebee.

Such a cool hat! I can see the enthusiasm was catching--your other daughter was really good at keeping her composure (hehe).

It looks fantastic! DD1 is gonna be so stylish. :)

Very pretty and a great construction. Love the top view!

I gotta know what's being read there on the stoop.

I so want to knit this hat! Everyone I've seen so far has been gorgeous. And your handspun one takes the prize. :)

Gorgeous! Your handspun rocks!! I'm definitely filing this away as a use for some of my more colourful handspun. Thanks for the great idea.

LOVE your hat! I've been looking at hats lately and this one just made it to my "must make" list.

Terrific! I think your model and my model would get along quite well. :-)

That is one cool hat!! Perfect for handspun, as you said...your model seems to like it quite a bit!

What a neat hat! I love the colors in it. It definitely makes me want to make one. Your handspun doesn't look handspun, it looks very professional. :D hehe..even though your girls are twins, they seem very different. Let me guess..one is very much a girl, where as the other is very tom boy. :D Isn't it amazing how that happens? I'm always amazed by twins. LOL!

Cute hat! And a very enthusiastic model! I'll have to remember that one for when I have handspun to use.

Very cute! Hmm... I might need to make some of these for Christmas presents... Thanks for the inspiration!

while the hat (and the girls) are certainly pretty, I'm actually checking out your new door and porch. Mine is in desperate need of updating (I have wrought iron poles, not your elegant pillars), sob...

Hey, I have some spindle spun handspun...but I am not sure if I have enough for a Zeebee, pity. Your ZB came out spectacularly well!

Your handspun looks so beautiful knit up! I love those colors.

Great Zeebee! Wonderful photos and post too. Makes me wish I lived in a climate that required knitted hats.

Zeebee is so cool! Do your daughters ever fight over the knits?

Oooo, I love collecting good patterns for handspun yarns! Thanks for sharing your find with us :-)

i love the zeebee too!

The hat is great -- love the colors!

Is the "closer still" comment from PeeWee Herman?! I don't know if you meant to but that is from a classic episode from *a long* time ago on a PeeWee Herman show.

Just wondering if you meant to do that. Thanks, that was cute. And love the hat!
