The Lace Love Continues

I finished Icarus a few days ago.  I love this shawl.  The first chart was a bit boring to knit.  But oh that border, how I adore that border!!  The Malabrigo Lace was lovely to work with.  It blooms a bit as you knit.  So far though, no pilling at all.  It is wondrously soft.  This shawl will be heavenly to wrap up in during those frigid winter days.  But for now, in the 90+ degree summer heat it will sit in my drawer.

Indulge me in a few photos.

Very pretty!! Icarus is next on my 'to knit' list!

So how much did you have to pay your daughter to look like she was having fun wrapped in a shawl, albeit a lace one, with this heat/humidity we have been having? It is very, very lovely by the way. I am still resisting this knit. For some strange reason, I am saying no, but I should say yes since it isn't a giant rectangle . . . which is more my speed (UGH!).

This is beautiful! I've got an Icarus UFO with malabrigo laceweight too :) Hopefully will get back to it this month.

Beautiful!

It's beautiful... I have some of that malabrigo in my stash... must resist casting on... so I can finish some of my ufo's.

That is so gorgeous! I love the color and how the pattern pops.

It's absolutely stunning!

Completely lovely colour! Very beautiful.

It's gorgeous!I knew it would be.Yeah for a FO.Maybe it will be contagious...

Is that color Cactus Flower? I am working with Malabrigo Lace (in Cactus Flower) right now I and I lurve it!!! The shawl is beautiful.

Its beautiful!

Given that I have that issue of IK and two skeins of Malabrigo laceweight I'm sorely tempted to start knitting "Icarus" tonight -- you're inspiring!

Beautiful job!

Loving the shawl and Malibrigo, it looks so soft and the colour variations are really nice. Beautiful job!

What a lovely color! And your daughter is a beautiful model for your shawl, as always!

Definitely worth finishing for the Winter! I love the subtle variation in the yarn.

I've been planning to knit this shawl since last Fall and the yarn still sits unused in the stash. Oh, the shame.

Well, there is your lace and it is GORGEOUS.

Okay, maybe I need to sit down and learn how to knit lace.

Your stuff is great and it gives me hope (that I may someday be able to knit lace, too).

The shawl is really beautiful, looks all soft and yummy. Nice to wrap into it, just like you said :-)

wow, that's beautiful. nicely done!

that is beautiful. the color is amazing - love the not quite solid.

Beautiful yarn and a gorgeous outcome!

Beautiful shawl! Love the color, and I'm surprised since it's NOT green! ;o)
How much yds are in one skein M. lace?

Oh, it is gorgeous! Just enough variegation to be interesting, but not overwhelming. And I can just imagine the softness. :-)

Beautiful job! It looks so great in the Malabrigo (and I've gotten to pet it in person, it's yummy). I imagine that it's hard to get through the upper portion, but the end result is worth it!

It came out so beautiful!!! And thanks for the "review" of the Malabrigo Lace, I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Good for you working on getting those UFOs finished.
