As Overheard in Ninth Grade Honors History

Student (quite seriously):  Where is Middle Earth on the map?
Teacher (with a wry grin) points to New Zealand.

This is the same honors history class where many of the students thought that the original language of the Bible was English.

I am afraid for the future of this country.
At least DS is entertained during the day.

Project Spectrum has moved on to green, yellow and pink.  Green is never lacking here at Through The Loops.

DD#2 and I have been on a knitting and sewing binge, thoughts of summer swirling in our heads.  The lovely green cotton (a cone purchased at School Products many moons ago) is her new beach cover-up.

Modeled photos and pictures of some of DD#2's sewing projects coming soon.

Olga and I both turn (gasp) 45 this month.  Rather than drowning our sorrows in a bucket of wine, we've decided to have a little contest.  We'll run the contest from her birthday, the 9th, to my birthday, the 14th.  More details on the ninth.
