Knit Mitt Kit Swap Questionairre

    What are your favorite colors?
I love all colors, especially interesting, unexpected color combinations.   I prefer strong colors.  I'm not crazy about soft pastels alone, but I like the contrast when they are paired with a stronger color.

Are you a new mitt knitter? How long have you been knitting mittens?
No, I'm not a new mitt knitter.

Do you prefer solid or multicolored yarn?
I like both.

What fibers do you prefer in mitten yarn?
Wool; merino, alpaca

Where do you usually knit mittens?
I knit everywhere.

How do you usually carry/store small projects?
In small project bags.  I always have quite a few projects going, so I tend to keep each project in its own bag.

What are your favorite mitten patterns?
I'm really loving Norwegian, Latvian and Fair Isle color work in mittens lately.

What are your favorite mitten knitting techniques?
Nothing in particular.  I'm open to anything.

What new techniques would you like to try?
I'm an adventurous knitter, so I'd try any new techniques.

What are your favorite needles for knitting mittens?
Two circs.  I love Addi Turbos, or Knitpicks.

What are some of your favorite yarns?
Since I'm interested in color work right now, I'm interested in solid colors that would allow for that.  I like the rich heathery colors that Jamieson's offers.

What yarn do you totally covet?
Usually it's the yarn for whatever project I'm obsessed with at the moment.

Any pattern you would love to make if money and time were no object?
I wish I could make all of the beautiful lace shawls that I constantly fall in love with.

Favorite kind of needles (brand, materials, straights or circs, etc)?
Circs all the way.  Addis, Kitpicks.

If you were a specific kind of yarn, which brand and kind of yarn would you be?
A mossy green homespun, with hints of other colors.

Do you have a favorite candy or mail-able snack?
I'm easy to please in the snack department.  I love it when swap buddies include something local to them.

    What’s your favorite animal?
My bunny, Smudge.

Would you prefer super warm mittens or something more like fingerless mitts?
Both, my daughters wear fingerless mitts all the time, but we need lots of mittens for the coming winter.

If you were a color what color would you be?
Mossy green.

What is your most inspiring image, flower, or object in nature?
Trees and leaves.  I love plants with interesting leaf shapes and colors - ferns, Japanese maples, agave.

    Do you have a wishlist?
Nope, sorry.

Anything else you’d like to share with the group today?  Nothing comes to mind.
