Roebling

If you're the sort who doesn't like to have a cold neck or ears, then Roebling is the hat for you.

Roebling Slouch
The twisted rib brim is gently shaped with short rows to dip down low in the back and cover your neck and ears.

Isn't that color amazing? It's Tanis Fiber Arts Yellow Label DK Weight yarn, in Cobalt. Truthfully it is more beautiful in person. I'm never able to quite capture rich colors like this with my camera.

If you're not the sort who goes for lacy designs, or you're looking for something a bit more unisex this pattern has that too.

Roebling Stockinette Side
The stockinette version works very well with handspun - in this case 11 wpi yarn that I spun from Hello Yarn's 100% BFL fiber. The colorway was Smudge. I couldn't resist buying this colorway for two reasons. As we all have come to expect with Adrian's colors, it is gorgeous. Add to that Smudge was my sweet bunny's name. Of course it would work well in any DK weight yarn - solid, variegated, semisold. Stockinette is very inclusive that way.

Roebling Slouch Lace 2

Don't you think Sofie was having a good hair day that day? Oh, what I'd give for locks like those. To think of the perms I'd give myself in the 80's and all she has to do is wash it and add a bit of product - Sheesh.
